Xbloc transport by truck
Xblocs can be moved by different means of transport.
For short distances the blocks can be transported individually by wheel loaders or by trucks and flatbeds. On the production site tower cranes or portal cranes are sometimes used to move Xblocs from the casting location to a (temporary) storage yard.
When the distance between yard and site is relatively large which is often the case when the production site is not located at the project site, Xblocs are usually transported by barge. Marine transport has been done for different projects for various distances. The advantage of marine transport is that many blocks can be transported at once.
