Doolin, Ireland
Doolin Pier is located at the West coast of Ireland. The existing Pier used for the Ferries was extended. The extention of the Pier is armoured by Xblocs of 4 m3 size. The construction works were carried out by L&M Keating Ltd.
Doolin is the third Xbloc project in Ireland. 2D physical model testing was carried out at the Hydraulic Laboratory in Cork. Xbloc casting started in spring 2014.
