The newly built Peterhead Fish Market experienced water damage due to wave overtopping over the existing wave wall and revetment. The Alexandra Parade in Peterhead port is directly exposed to large waves coming from North easterly direction on the North Sea. A new Xbloc and rock revetment has been constructed in 2021 consisting of 8m3 Xbloc units and large rock to reduce wave overtopping.
